The Why Behind ROVE Partners
Matt joined NAI Business Properties in September 2009 and became an owner in June of 2012. Prior to joining NAI, Matt brokered commercial transactions that included investment, office, and industrial properties within Yellowstone County since 2004.
Throughout his time at NAI Business Properties Matt saw the opportunity and the need for a more comprehensive approach to commercial real estate. From the beginning, Matt did valuation work for clients as a way to hone his skills and provide a service for banks and individuals. In 2012 Matt began Montana Commercial Management. By 2018, his team had grown to 6 team members and hasn’t stopped growing since then. Thus, the inception of ROVE Partners.
ROVE Partners exists to provide every client with the very best commercial real estate experience. The integration of Brokerage, Management, Valuation, and Development addresses the full life cycle of a property ensuring the property value is maximized for cash flow, planning, or disposition.

Haley grew up on a farm in Wyoming and later attended Northwest College then graduated from MSUB in 2020 with a degree in Business Administration. She spent 20 years in the marketing and advertising world before selling her business and jumping feet first into commercial real estate in 2018. Haley values the opportunity to help maximize real estate assets and lease negotiations! As a small business owner for 13 years she has unique insight into the challenges and frustrations business owners face. She loves working with people to help them achieve their business goals.

Zach is a third generation Montanan born and raised in the Billings area. Zach earned a Mass Communication, English, and master’s in education degrees from Montana State University-Billings. He worked in education teaching at the college level as well as the high school level before deciding to move into the private sector. Zach worked as a financial advisor for a year and a half before making the transition to real estate. Since 2004 Zach has been brokering deals and investing in his own real estate portfolio by utilizing the 1031 exchange process, thus making it an easy conversion to real estate.

Ben Rose
Evaluations Director
Ben Rose joined NAI Business Properties in 2018 as a Real Estate Analyst. Ben works on all aspects of completing property evaluations throughout Montana. Since joining the team, he has completed hundreds of commercial, agricultural, and residential evaluations. Prior to joining NAI, Ben was previously a Commercial Loan Officer administrating SBA loans in many different markets. Ben, a Montana native, is a graduate from Rocky Mountain College.
Brenda McNaney
Appraisal Director
Brenda attended Montana State University in Bozeman and Billings where she graduated with a Business Finance degree in 2008. Starting in 2007 Brenda held various positions in commercial lending including credit analyst and commercial lender. From 2011 - 2019 Brenda began her work in valuation services with Western Security Bank. This consisted of extensive appraisal reviews of all property types including retail, office, industrial, agriculture, subdivisions, land, residential, and special use properties.
In 2019, Brenda earned the Appraisal Institute General Review Specialist Designation (AI-GRS), becoming the first person in Montana to do so. The following year, she joined NAI Business Properties as a real estate analyst, conducting numerous evaluations of different property types across Montana. In November 2020, Brenda partnered with Dave Thomas of Thomas Appraisal Services, and she received her Certified General Appraiser license through this collaboration.

Ben joined our team in January 2022. Ben is a Montana native and grew up in Huntley, Montana. Ben is a graduate of Billings, Montana State University where he earned his degree in History. Ben comes to our team with a background in sales and management. In his free time, you’ll find him hiking, camping, fishing, watching football, or hanging out with friends and family.
Elli Petrik

Elli joined NAI Business Properties in October 2020 as a Real Estate Analyst. Elli has assisted in completing commercial, agricultural, and residential property evaluations throughout the state of Montana. Originally from Michigan, Elli graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting and moved to Montana shortly after to begin working at NAI. Most recently, Elli has transitioned to staying at home full-time with her daughter, Harper, while continuing to work for the valuations department.

Barclay joined the Rove team as a property manager in March of 2024. Prior to making the transition to commercial property management, Barclay worked in residential property management, and also held positions as an assistant branch manager at Enterprise and an internship with Edward Jones. This combined background prepared her well to manage the financials and property needs of her portfolio – Barclay excels providing excellent customer service and thorough and complete follow through to exceed client and tenant expectations! Barclay holds a degree in Business Administration with a minor in Economics from the University of Puget Sound.

Stephanie joined the Rove Partners team in 2021 when she relocated back to her hometown of Billings. As Management Director, Stephanie oversees all Rove Management operations and is responsible for the portfolio’s financial performance, leasing, budgeting & reporting, project management, and client, tenant and vendor relations. She is passionate about delivering an exceptional experience for owners and tenants alike, all with an eye toward finding opportunities to maximize the value of assets in her care. Prior to joining Rove Management, Stephanie spent over 11 years working for a regional investment and development company in the Puget Sound and has experience in multiple facets of commercial real estate, including investment, development, leasing and operations. Stephanie holds a BA in Business Administration from Linfield University and she is currently a CPM Candidate.

Graduated with a BS in Construction Engineering Technology from Montana State University, and immediately went into the US Air Force. After 8 years he left the military, received a Master's Degree in Public Administration, and went into property management. After 27 years of leading management operations, he is switching from the day to day property management to focusing on project management.

Aaron specializes in the management of self-storage facilities, as well as providing facilities support and guidance to the broader portfolio. Aaron started with Rove Management in early 2022 and quickly became the resident expert in self-storage management and operations. Aaron is BOMI Certified in Air Handling, Water Treatment Plumbing Systems, as well as Energy Management and Controls. Aaron is a gifted problem solver with a penchant for taking care of details to ensure all facility operations are running smoothly!

Jesse joined the Rove team as a Property Manager in June of 2024. Prior to making the transition to commercial property management, Jesse worked at Montana State University Billings, and worked in hospitality management within several of our nations National Parks, including Yellowstone for 10 years. This combined background prepared him well to manage the financials and property needs of his portfolio – Jesse excels providing excellent customer service and follow through with over 10 years of hospitality and management experience, exceeding client and tenant expectations! Jesse holds a degree in General Applied Mathematics and a minor in Physics from the University of Arizona in Tucson, he is a proud Wildcat!

Amber is the point person for all Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable, as well as monthly reporting. Amber brings a keen focus on customer service and a passion for precision to her role! Katie takes her love for business, real estate, and systems combining them all to run projects smoothly and efficiently. Katie’s education includes degrees in Business Administration and Office Management from Montana Tech and the University of Montana. Katie was born and raised in Montana and has managed her own rental portfolio since 2010. With a background in accounting, property management, and business consulting/marketing she added real estate licensee to her repertoire in 2019. Katie has worked alongside NAI’s Matt Robertson since 2013.

Aubyn joined our team in August 2022. Aubyn grew up in Rapid City and came to Billings to pursue her education while playing volleyball at Rocky Mountain College. Aubyn holds a masters in Educational Administration Leadership from RMC. With a background in teaching for the past 5 years, she also has experience in administration and leadership. She comes to our team offering up fun, order, and systems. When not at the office you’ll find her spending time with her husband, Bobby, who teaches and is the head basketball coach at Lockwood High School. You will also find her cuddling her son, Bronson, and three goldendoodles.

Andy joined our team in May of 2023. A Montana native, he was born and raised in Billings and earned degrees in Accounting and Finance from Montana State University in Bozeman. He spent 5 years working in public accounting at both the local and international level, specializing in construction and private equity. Andy assists leadership in decision making by providing accurate financials and creating financial forecasts for our team. Outside of work, you’ll find him on the river, camping, or bird hunting all around Montana.
